An artistic mediation exercise that works both on self-esteem and on exploring one’s identity.
The idea?
Associate a positive word with each letter of your first name, then bring it to life through images or symbols chosen instinctively.
First, it’s fun:
Flipping through magazines or flyers (here, picked up randomly in museums and community spaces), cutting, pasting… just like those carefree childhood moments 🙂
Rediscovering the joy of working with your hands and the memories that make you smile.
Then comes the depth:
The exercise gives new meaning to your name, and by extension, to yourself. Each word, each image becomes a small revelation.
Letter by letter, you rediscover different facets of who you are:
Playful (Ludique), Unity (Unité), Gentleness (Douceur), Optimism (Optimisme), Devour Life (dévorer la Vie), Inspiration (Inspiration), Clarity (Clarté).
A precious reminder of what drives me and what I want to share.
The highlight:
The letter C became linked to an illuminated underwater cave, accompanied by the phrase: “He and you will pass through the light.”
A perfect synchronicity with my Pisces path and my current artistic theme From Dark n’ Love to Rock n’ Light (stay tuned, news is coming soon!).
This exercise illustrates the power of artistic mediation to:
– Reconnect with yourself while letting creativity speak
– Identify what you want to transform or develop
– Explore your own personal journey
– Give yourself a moment of pause, discovery, and trust
This is exactly what I offer in my workshops: a space where you can create, reflect, smile, and above all, reveal yourself.
Open to children, teenagers, and adults.
