Work in progress.
The evolution of a drawing born from grief.
Every detail matters.
The loss of a loved one is a long journey.
I pour my rage and memories into it.
To honor his life and legacy.

The illustration will depict the brain tumor, a glioblastoma, symbolized by a monster, which took my father’s life. The giant insect, covered in metastases emerging from their cocoons, is crossed by invasive branches that surround the symbol of medicine, powerless at this stage. It includes his brain, the four intracranial injections he underwent, the curve of his life, his birth and death dates in Roman numerals, a nod to his Italian origins, as well as his heart, drained of all strength, emptied.
