Gusts of homophobia are blowing strong.
Protest bans are falling like acid rain on their rights.
The far-right casts a lingering depression over our societies.
Against violent winds, dikes of solidarity rise.
Because even when the political climate becomes unbreathable,
there remains an untamable force:
love — an atmospheric pressure against the current,
a renewable energy, with no borders and no bans.
Against threatening skies,
some lightning strikes restore the balance.
