After The Brotherhood of the Diabolical Crows<\/em> and The Horde of Zombie Koalas<\/em>, I\u2019m continuing this series centered on animal zombification and a world slowly rotting away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A gigantic mutant queen traps polluting humans inside her hive. Bees are bioindicators of ecosystem health. But we learn nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n More and more overconsumption, toxic waste, and pesticides weaken the swarms. Yes, capitalism, yes! Keep dancing! Like bees in mid-flight. In full distress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I keep thinking about a scene from an old movie I saw as a kid, when I was already obsessed with sci-fi: people trapped inside their car while a swarm attacks them by crawling through the air vents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are creating the conditions for our own erasure, one honeycomb cell at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A few films if you want a popcorn-and-honey session:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Entombed alive in honey, swallowed, suffocated, then preserved to be slowly digested, their bodies become decaying offerings. An exact reflection of what we are inflicting on our own environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And they are collapsing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
